Framed: In Con-versation (session 2)

Framed: In Con-versation is a live panel and recorded discussion series I initiated as part of my ongoing research into the gaze, authorship, and representation of the female body in photography. Through open dialogue, the series explores how images of women are made, seen, and reinterpreted over time — drawing on feminist theory, art history, and personal experience.

The second session took place at the Royal College of Art on 18 March 2025 and brought together women who had not posed for me but were fellow students from different art-related practices. This time, the conversation centred on how each participant read the imagery through the lens of their own beliefs, lived experiences, and theoretical knowledge — as artists, viewers, and women. Each guest received a booklet of images and quotes to guide the discussion and serve as a visual thread throughout the exchange.
